At the administrative level, CEDI is a non-profit association registered in France.

CEDI is honored to have Professor Emmanuel Decaux as its President. Professor Decaux is a former member of the United Nations Committee on Enforced Disappearances (2011-2019) and was his first Chairperson (2012-2017).
